the plain words on what GameMaster Bernd keeps, who reads it, and your rights

This page covers the game GameMaster Bernd. The World Console hub page itself collects nothing; Adsum, the invite service on this box, carries its own privacy words on its landing.

What we record

GameMaster Bernd is a research beta. Every play session is recorded in full on our server: everything you type, everything the game writes back, and the world files your play creates, together with your player name and timestamps.

Tobias Maier (tobias.maier45@gmail.com) personally reads these recordings to fix bugs and improve the game. That is the only purpose. Recording happens because you agreed to it when you accepted your invitation (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You are playing with an AI

An AI system generates the story text — you are playing with an AI game master. Nothing on this site or in the game pretends otherwise.

Who else touches the data

Hosting
Sessions run and are stored on a server in Vienna, Austria (EU), hosted by netcup GmbH under a data-processing agreement.
Model provider
To generate the story, your turns are sent to Anthropic (USA) under their commercial terms and data-processing addendum. Anthropic does not train on this data, and API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days at most. The transfer to the USA is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses, part of Anthropic's data-processing addendum.
Nobody else
No analytics, no trackers, no ad networks, no other recipients. If you write us an email, Google (Gmail) carries that mail like any mail provider would.

Please don't type real personal details

Yours or anyone else's. The game never needs them, and everything typed is recorded regardless. This is a courtesy ask, not a legal trick — whatever you do type is protected as described on this page.

Storage, retention, deletion

Recordings are stored on the EU server named above, readable by the maintainer alone. Raw session recordings are deleted or anonymized at the latest 12 months after the beta ends — earlier on request: withdraw your consent any time by email, and your sessions are deleted within a month.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take your data with you (Arts. 15–21 GDPR). Write to the email above — answered within a month. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at) or your own country's authority.

Cookies & browser storage

No tracking and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to: the only things stored in your browser are the login state of your own door and a small flag remembering that you've seen the first-run notice. The server keeps brief technical logs (connections, errors) for operations and security, rotated automatically.
